my biggest risks.

If you were to ask me whether I'm a fight or flight type of person, my answer is always flight.

Run away. Hide.

I'm never fighting the zombies. I hate confrontation.

Taking a big swing. Facing the scary stuff. Doing hard things.

Yet when I look back at the last 5 years, I've done a lot of scary stuff. Taken big risks... but yielded big rewards.

🚨 In 2021, I moved my whole family from Arizona to Illinois, simply because I wanted to.
✅ Best decision. We love it here.

🚨 In 2023 I launched CopyClick and started putting myself out there as a freelancer.
✅ Best decision. It's really saved my butt in 2025 when I needed to already have a presence as a freelancer.

🚨 In 2023 I started running (again). One step in front of the other.
✅ Since then, I've ran three 5K's, two 10K's, and two half marathons (second at the end of this month!), and had personal best times in all 3.

🚨 In early 2025 I put out an anonymous post in a local Facebook group looking for friends with similar social and political beliefs as me.
✅ The post blew up and I now host my own Facebook group with 125+ local ladies who I'm proud to call my friends. We meet up for coffee and at local events, and I've never felt more connected. 🧡

🚨 In June 2025 when my work dried up, I decided to start vibe coding an app that's been sitting in my brain for the last several years.
🤔 I realized this morning that it has the potential to be my full-time job if I do it right.

So… while I definitely would not survive a zombie apocalypse, maybe I don’t give myself enough credit for the risks I am willing to take?

Like spending time building something I’m wildly excited about instead of sending out more Upwork bids today. 👀

Here’s the thing... every one of those “scary” choices I listed?

They worked out because I didn’t just leap blindly… I had a plan.

And that’s exactly what I do for my clients.

I help them take the right kind of risks—launching new offers, shifting their marketing, trying bold strategies—without burning their time, energy, or money in the process.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea you know could grow your business but you’ve been avoiding it because it feels risky, maybe it’s time to tag in your own fractional CMO (me, hi, I'm your fractional cmo, it's me).

📩 Hit reply and tell me what you’ve been sitting on. I’ll tell you the first step I’d take to make it happen.

🧡 Hayley

Wondering what it’s like to have a strategic second brain on your team?

My sweet spot is helping stressed-out 6- and 7-figure digital CEOs get out of the bottleneck and start scaling with smart marketing strategy + execution.
