Hey, Reader!
Thursday night, I did something a little chaotic.
I stayed up till 11 PM for Taylor Swift’s new album. On Friday I hosted a listening party, made a themed cake, and… bought the cardigan and vinyl.
Which is ridiculous considering I do not own a record player. 😂
But that’s the thing about Taylor... she doesn’t just release an album.
She builds a world.
Every breadcrumb, every Easter egg, every countdown pulls fans in until we’re emotionally, musically, and financially invested (hi, yes, that’s me 🙋♀️).
It’s the power of anticipation.
I’ve been helping a client with teaser content lately and it’s giving me total Swiftie vibes.
We’re dropping subtle hints, building curiosity, letting people feel like insiders. And guess what? Her audience is SO excited.
They’re guessing, DMing, refreshing their inboxes, all before the big reveal.
That’s when it hit me:
The “tease” is the connection.
It turns passive readers into participants.
It makes them care before you sell them anything.
So if you’ve got something coming up - a launch, a new offer, even a freebie - don’t just tell people about it.
🎤 Tease it.
🎤 Build the hype.
🎤 Make it an event.
Because when your emails feel like an album drop, your audience won’t just open them... they’ll stay up for them. 😉
🧡 Hayley
PS - Here's my ridiculous, over-the-top cake. I made sugar glass and broke it into shards to mimic the album cover.
