🎉🐶 Rescue-versary #1! 🐶🎉

read time: 1:44

Hi Reader,

Last week, we celebrated a big milestone: Poppy’s one-year “rescue-versary.” 🎉

It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since my sweet pup was rescued from the streets of Aruba. She didn't join our family until April, but I felt this day deserved a celebration nonetheless!

Naturally, I went all out (ahem). She wore a party hat, devoured doggy ice cream, and got more treats than she knew what to do with.

It got me thinking about why we love celebrations so much.

I could have just patted Poppy on the head and moved on with my day, but instead, I made a whole thing of it.

People love making things of things, ya know what I mean?

The same idea applies to email marketing.

Sometimes, we treat our emails like just a task to check off. Another thing on the to-do list.

But when we take the time to celebrate a win, tell a story, or share something meaningful with our audience, those emails become moments that stick.

Here’s how you can turn your next email into something worth remembering:

1. Celebrate Your Audience: Share a milestone, a thank-you, or a way your audience has made an impact on you. People love feeling seen and appreciated.

2. Tell a Story: Whether it’s a “rescue-versary” for your dog or a small personal win, stories are what make people feel connected to you.

3. Invite Them In: A great email isn’t just about you, it’s about creating a moment your readers feel part of (like when I first introduced you to Poppy!). Ask a question, encourage a reply, or inspire them to reflect on their own story.

The next time you sit down to write an email, think about what you can celebrate. It might just turn an ordinary email into a moment your audience will remember.

Now, I want to do one more thing for Poppy's rescue-versary... a donation word search!

Complete the word search below, reply to this email with the link to it, and I'll donate $5 to the non-profit that rescued Poppy.

Woof,
Hayley & Poppy
